A Weekend of Friendship, Fun, and Festivity
The Bessacarr Owners Club recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with a fantastic rally at Furze Farm Campsite near Louth. A total of 17 caravans and motorhomes gathered to commemorate this milestone event.
Furze Farm Campsite provided the perfect setting for the rally, with its fully serviced pitches offering water, electricity, drainage, and private bathroom access. The nearby Splash Pub (also known as The Royal Oak Inn) was a popular spot for a communal meal, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The choice of Furze Farm Campsite was particularly fitting, as Couplands Caravans of Louth, the sole distributors of Swift-made Bessacarr Caravans, is located nearby. This connection added a special touch to the event.
To mark the 60th anniversary, a celebratory dinner was held at the Kenwick Park Hotel. Rally members, along with additional guests including staff from Couplands and Swift, enjoyed a delightful evening of dining, dancing, and entertainment. Several ex-members of the club also attended, making it a truly memorable occasion.
The dinner was a huge success, thanks to the tireless efforts of Jill and Dave Williams, despite their recent health challenges. The men looked dapper in their suits, while the ladies were elegant in their evening gowns. A local singer provided the entertainment, keeping the guests dancing and celebrating until it was time to return to the campsite.
The Bessacarr Owners Club 60th Anniversary Rally was a wonderful event that brought together members old and new. It was a weekend of friendship, fun, and fond memories.
